Oral Commissure Reconstruction (Case 9)

A new technique for Oral Commissure reconstruction.

This is the second case in the series of Lip Reconstruction.

A new technique combining A-T flap for functional reconstruction of the oral commissure is depicted. Commissure reconstruction is a challenging and difficult problem because of vital esthetic and functional significance of Oral commissure.
Leukoplakia of commissure is very frequently seen in bidi smokers. It requires excisional biopsy to confirm the benign nature and often to rule out any sinister pathological changes.  Excision often leaves a defect which requires repair or  reconstruction, depending on size/location etc. of the surgical defect.

This case was published in technical innovation section of International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
